Mitchell Olson was one of the more unusual
contestant choices by CBS. And yet
this gentle giant ~ 7-feet tall, gangly,
and slim ~ was perhaps the quickest of the
group to show himself a loyal and
trustworthy soul with his fellow tribal
mates. In fact here at SurvivorHunks
we're told that since Australia, his
sincerity and warmth have made him one of
the most endearing male contestants to
date, having developed genuine friendships
in place of the more competitive
relationships that were formed in the
Outback.
But hunger and
the various forms of deprivation
did not especially agree with Mitchell,
and when the great Survivor
contestant speeches are discussed, his
shall forever come to mind. Asked to
defend his position in the game after an
initial tie vote at tribal council,
Mitchell seemed instead to assert a plea
to be sent packing. Moments later
the deed was done, but when Socrates
philosophized that 'a man who knows his
limitations is prudent and wise', he might
as well have been referring to Mitchell.
