Keith Famie had an impressive run on Survivor
2 Outback, winding up in third place
behind winner Tina Wesson and runner-up
Colby Donaldson. He wasn't
particularly manipulative nor scheming,
yet he plodded forth, remaining standing
as contestant after contestant fell by the
wayside.
It was Keith who
was the first to align himself with Tina,
a teaming that didn't seem to hold much
promise initially but ultimately carried
them both to the final three. Along
the way Keith & his girlfriend back
home, calling themselves peas &
carrots, became engaged during an online
chat session viewed by 20 million
Americans.
Indeed in three
months' time Keith became one of the
world's most famous chefs, albeit one who
couldn't cook rice out in the wild.
It was a charge he denied, and in February
of 2001 he got the last laugh, publishing
a cookbook appropriately entitled "Famie's
Adventures in Cooking".
