Think of a cross between Bruce Willis and
Harrison Ford and you might come up with
someone like Colby Donaldson, who most
agree was the star of Survivor 2
Outback. For starters his alliance
made the final three. He won most of
the immunity challenges. He won most
of the luxury challenges as well, luxuries
that included a new Pontiac, a live visit
from his mother, a night of good grub at a
ranch of true Australian cowboys, and an
excursion to the Great Barrier Reef with
Jerri Manthey.
But Colby will
also be forever remembered as a master of
a game he did not win. A sense of
honor prevented him from eliminating Tina,
a course that would have certainly assured
him the million dollar first prize.
Instead he took his chances against a
fierce competitor ~ and lost.
Some applauded his nobility, but most
derided his sheer and utter foolishness.
Dark clouds have
silver linings however, and there is talk
that Hollywood mogul Steven Spielberg
will cast Colby in a major motion
picture. If so, the film is certain
to attract the attention of legions of
Colby fans wherever television sets are
found.
